The Red Cardinal

When David and I were dating, I lived in Alexandria, VA. We would make the long drive up and down I-95 to see each other at every chance. Along the way we noticed that North Carolina and Virginia have the same state bird, the red cardinal. We began to see cardinals everywhere. After a little research we discovered that red cardinals are thought of as messengers between heaven and earth. They mate for life and both parents work to protect and nourish their young. The cardinal song is known for its clarity and cheerful nature. Red cardinals became a theme in our relationship. When it came time to give our studio a name, it was the clear choice!
